We give them before trips in the car, storms, fireworks, and boat rides. Our standard poodle, Moose, started having seizures in July 2023 (age 6). After everything else was ruled out, "idiopathic epilepsy" was the diagnosis. We immediately stopped giving him traditional flea/tick medication, avoiding all chemicals in our home and yard, switched to homemade salmon dog food, and follow 100% of all other seizure-prone dog friendly habits. As we continued researching the topic in medical studies, I learned CBD oil has proven health benefits for the brain. So we wanted to incorporate it in Moose’s diet. We have been giving it to him daily (1 dropper of 1,000mg, split between breakfast and dinner) for over a year and we have seen an improvement in his seizure frequency.
